Dr. Hans Kiltz
Previous to being a vineyard and winery owner, Dr. Hans Kiltz, a veterinarian by profession with degrees in microbiology and
fish health, worked as an Animal Health Officer for more than 20 years in Africa and Asia. He always loved to make wine and his scientific
background became very handy in this field. What initially started as a hobby and pioneer work, later turned into a full scale commercial business! Growing quality
wine grapes, however, is a delicate skill that requires years of study and experience. His knowledge of this field is based not only on trial and error, but also on professional advice from vineyard operations in the old country. Hans is now in charge of quality control and the making of all the wines Blue Grouse Vineyards is known for.
