The Gamay Noir grape was first grown and produced on Vancouver Island by Blue Grouse Winery in 1992. This is a medium-bodied red (same grape as found in Beaujolais wine) was aged for 2 years in barrels. It has aromas and flavours of sweet cherries, raspberries, a hint a peaches, violets and roses with a spicy finish. Food Pairing: any tomato-based dishes, chicken, seafood and shellfish.
